‘I’m sorry you didn’t understand me’ is NOT an apology. It’s an INSULT. ‘I’m sorry I wasn’t more clear.’ NICE. Apology accepted.
You can’t erase a mistake, but you can learn and grow from it, which is kind of the same thing.
You teach people how to treat you by what you allow. Make it clear what IS and is NOT acceptable. The treats will improve.
Admit it when you’re wrong and when you’re right, be modest. This helps them remember you were right and forget you were wrong.
